EN / Lenka Záhorková designs and manufactures original porcelain. Her works are generaly based on serching parallels between construction / craft technologies and idea koncepts. Circle of life, its neverending princips- creation, destruction and reconstruction is the main inspiration. She graduated the masters program at the University of West Bohemia in Czech Republic, class of ceramic design. In 2015 she co-founded a ceramic design group called NALEJTO, where is one of the designers.
CZ / Lenka Záhorková pracuje převážně s keramickým materiálem a to porcelánem. Často ale balancuje mezi designem, užitými formami a uměním volným. Porcelán využívá jako médium pro komunikaci sociálních témat či pro reflexi vlastních myšlenkových procesů. Její práce bývají založené na hledání paralel mezi konstrukční / technologickou stránkou a stránkou ideovou. Mezi témata patří třeba koloběh života, nekonečný cyklus – stvoření, zánik a obnova předmětů. Vystudovala ateliér Keramiky na Fakultě designu a umění na ZČU v Plzni a absolvovala stáž na Academy of Fine Arts v Gdańsku v ateliéru Sochařství. Za své produkty získala několik ocenění např. v soutěži Národní cena za studentský design, byla vybrána do sekce Talents na Tendence 2017 ve Frankfurtu nad Mohanem a za projekt s názvem TAK TO BYLO získala cenu Empatie od Národní Galerie a Komerční banky a nominaci na cenu Designbloku´19. V roce 2015 spoluzaložila značku NALEJTO ceramic design, pod kterou produkuje svou tvorbu.
